    KEJC has updated our app at HomerenterDeclaration.org to reflect the new expiration date (January 31) of the CDC's protections. Last night (Dec. 31), the CDC released a new form that reflects the new expiration date. Now, HomerenterDeclaration.org generates an electronically signed Declaration a user can email their landlord from within the app or download for offline/alternate delivery to their landlord.     Yesterday, the Kentucky Supreme Court issued a new Order allowing all evictions (except CARES Act-protected properties) to proceed beginning on August 1st. (We were surprised, too.)     Can my landlord raise the rent during COVID–19?

    A friend of mine texted to ask me if a landlord could raise the rent 1) during a global pandemic during which 2) Kentucky's Governor has ordered people to remain #HealthyAtHome, and 3) the Kentucky Supreme Court has halted eviction filings until at least May 31.
